Russian-style law could bring surprise raids, fines for uncooperative banks and could create a network of informers

The Hungarian draft law made it clear that the ruling party is willing to use a significant part of the state apparatus to silence whomever it wants. The proposal not only seeks to cripple the organisations it deems a threat to national sovereignty, it also aims to intimidate their leaders and members in a way never been seen before.
