They knew it was a lie from the start, but they still plastered it all over the country

From the very first moment, they knew full well that it was not true, but this did not prevent the Hungarian government from carrying out a six-month campaign claiming that Brussels would like to take away the 13th month pension. While most Hungarians may no longer pay any attention to the barrage of fake news, or the typical blue posters (the billboards advertising the government’s currently most important message have all been similar in design) flooding the country, and may no longer sigh about the billions of forints spent on these campaigns, about 1.3 million Hungarians remain worried nevertheless. So we asked the “Brussels bureaucrats” what they intend to do about Hungary’s 13th month pension.
